wow this is a very great thread!
One question I am thinking and hoping to get some helpful answers is: If I apply right now in Nov 2005 at Bufflo, and have to go back to China in Sept/2006, what will be the situation then? I mean, assuming that my application cannot be done in 10 months, will they transfer my application case to Beijing or what? or interrrupted by moving back to China? Thanks in advance! any previous experience in the same situation is highly appreciated! |

but how do you deal with interviews, ME, etc, which require you be there if you are in China? While the CIC is assuming you are at north america based on your address? |

of proofs for this language proficiency catagory. Which one is easier? Ielts or celpip? I mean not very time-consuming. I have got a job offer working at montreal (2 yrs contract type). Does this help my application? I checked the documents and didn't find it helpful. Thanks in advance! |

some experience or knowledge? I applied for skillled worker immigration when I was at the US since I knew I was going to get a job in Canada. Now after I moved here recently, I sent buffalo an update about my new address and a copy of work permit. Buffalo suddenly sent me a letter asking for police certificate. The problem is I have been here for just a month, should I go ahead to get a certifcate? I remember a police certificate is needed only if someone has been a country for more than six months? Many thanks if someone could help or share your experience |

But based on my experience, it's not very useful right now---I wrote a letter and included everything I could find, but was still asked to take ielts. My suggestion, note that it's your decision tho, to you is writing a letter and re-submitting the application. Then probably prepare to take ielts or some other one. btw, about the letter, in their application package, it's clearly stated. it's like a cover letter---you should feel that you need a letter to explain things you include. |

Interview after background check?
Hi, fewer people here than before? Bad luck for my application. I got my medical done last Nov, then waited one year until now. In a letter sent to me, I am asked to have an interview at Buffalo. Previously I asked Buffalo a couple of times, and they replied that they were requiring my background information. I have read the whole thread, and it looked like quite several people had the same experience. However, they only mentioned that they would have an interview, but never said anything after their interview. Could anyone here share your experience if you had an interview? Many thanks! |
