It is Christmas time...
December 8, 2006. Starting at 7:00pm -- Oak Bay’s Sea of Lights -- This parade of lighted boats will be led by HMCS ORIOLE to cap the celebration of Oak Bay’s Centennial during 2006. Best viewing will be on WILLOWS BEAC. The Kiwanis will serve free hot chocolate and cookies at the Willows Beach pavilion. A beach bonfire will be lit to keep you warm. Admission is FREE, but please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Salvation Army. This parade is open to all boaters and registrations may be obtained from RVYC. Royal Victoria Yacht Club www.rvyc.bc.ca December 9, 2006. at 7:00 pm -- 17th Annual Lighted Ship Parade -- Hosted by the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority. Best viewing on the wharf at Ship Point in the Inner Harbour. Complementary hot chocolate to keep you warm. Approximately 30 lighted vessels will parade around the Inner Harbour, Ship Point and the Songhees shore.
