Check out this posters DD...and since POS yahoo won't let me post a link to another site i have to paste it all in here...if it fits. WSCI is starting to move up ahead of its earnings report in the next few days. The quarter to be reported is one of the strongest seasonally and you will see why later. Nasdaq's WSCI is a consistently profitable, dividend-paying, low-float small company with huge upside. Its precision machining business is booming lately. WSCI reminds me a lot of HURC which has gone from $3 to $13 in six months. WSCI moves explosively with even a minor buying pressure because of its very low, and tighly-held float. Take a look at the big jump in April when the company announced that it has purchased a larger manufacturing facility to accomodate current/future increased demand for its products/services. http://stockcharts.com/gallery?WSCI *** WSCI Highlights: WSCI is Consistently profitable. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/is?s=WSCI WSCI's balance sheet is strong with $3/share stockholders' equity. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bs?s=WSCI&annual WSCI pays Dividends. The last 2 quarters it paid $0.0375/share/quarter or a 6% yield. Small market cap of only $6 million. There are only 2 million shares on the float WSCI is currently trading well below book value. WSCI business is booming. During the last quarter the company had its biggest orders from the Recreational Vehicle industry. This trend is likely to continue in the future as baby boomers take advantage of a strong economy and historically low interest rates. The growth in the RV sector has really been strong lately based on the the most recent earnings' reports by the likes of Winnebago, Polaris, etc. The months preceeding summer are seasonally the strongest months for RV industry. Polaris is WSCI's largest customer (over 10%). Polaris received a $10.3 million ATV contract from the US Army in April. This 5-year contract could be one of the reasons that prompted WSCI to buy the new manufacturing plant. The timing of these events could be more than just a coincidence. http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/040429/296037_1.html John Deere (outdoor equipment) and Rockwell Collins (avionics (avionics) are other important WSCI customers. The new manufacturing plant has the potential of increasing operating capacity by almost 100% in the future. Michael J. Pudil, president and chief executive officer, commented recently: "We are pleased with the acquisition of the facility and the assistance and cooperation provided by the City of Monticello. A driving factor in our decision to relocate was the growing level of business from the Company's recreational vehicle market that includes ATV's and motorcycles. In addition, we are continuing to see improvement in our other key markets of avionics and defense." Pudil went on to say: "The building is a modern facility that was designed and built specifically for contract machining. The increase in size will accommodate our current customer requirements and meet our projected growth opportunities." WSI Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: WSCI) is a contract manufacturer of high-precision, close-tolerance machined parts for a diverse mix of markets, including Recreational Vehicles, avionics/aerospace, defense, recreation vehicles, computers, medical and engines. As a beneficiary of manufacturing outsourcing trends, WSI is one of the nation's larger contract machining companies. Through its state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and processes, WSI is equipped to handle large, multi-year manufacturing programs, which exceed the capabilities of smaller competitors. |
